About items banned for carriage and items restricted aboard aircraft
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping air travel safe and secure.
The handling of dangerous items in check-in and carry-on luggage will vary according to item and quantity.
- Please check for detail about items banned for carriage and items restricted aboard aircraft with your airlines.
- The following information is provided as an example of what occurs at check-in luggage inspections and security checks (security inspection), but for specific inquiries, contact the airline you are booked with.
Check-in Luggage Inspection
Check-in luggage inspections are handled by the airline staff at check-in time.
At the International Passenger Terminal, the luggage is taken from the passenger and submitted to an x-ray scan.
After taking your luggage, the airline staff will perform an inspection, and to confirm the contents of the luggage, the traveller might be called over to assist. Please be aware of this.
Knives, Golf Clubs, and any other items that may be used as weapons are prohibited aboard the airplane. Passengers carrying knives are requested to place them in their check-in luggage and hand them over to airline staff when checking in, and not to bring these items on board.
The following dangerous items may not be carried in check-in baggage nor carried aboard an airplane.
